Hello New Life Church Family! 新生命教會的家人，大家好！from Amy Ewing 于安媛

I can’t believe it but I’ve already been back in the US for six months now. It seems like yesterday I was saying goodbye to all of you. After returning home, I spent a few weeks visiting my family in Michigan before moving (back) to Chicago to start working. I was fortunate to be able to return to the same company and job I had before moving to Taiwan. I work as an engineer at a healthcare company developing products for the spine. I’ve been really blessed with a great boss, co-workers, and projects that I enjoy working on. But that doesn’t mean the transition has been easy. It took me longer than I expected to adjust back to life in the States but I’m thankful for the Lord’s help. He continues to give me strength every day.
I’m also thankful for my amazing church and small group here. It has been great reconnecting with old friends and meeting new people. I am blessed with a great church but still really miss New Life. On most Sundays, I would love to be worshipping with all of you! Over the past few months, the Lord has been teaching me about patience, trust, and His heart for all nations. I know I’m in the right place for now but am excited about the future and what it may hold. I pray the same for all of you.
We had a long, cold winter in Chicago but spring is finally here. It is so nice to be able to open my windows, ride my bike, or just be outside…so different from Kaohsiung! I have a busy summer ahead of me but I don’t mind the craziness too much. I’m thankful for the opportunity to keep in touch with many of you. It is great to hear about what God continues to do in the women’s small group, SNSG, or ORTV.
I think of you all often and thank God for allowing me to be a part of the church for a short time. Praying for continued blessings, peace, wisdom, and joy for the whole church family!

P.S. The photo was taken in March while visiting Deborah Ho in Houston. We’re eating Taiwanese food!
